Bricks, Blocks, and Bull

A lyrical poem about society throughout human history

Honeytongues dripping gold-plated myths
Before the mortar sets,
Before bricks are baked,
Before rising blocks razed, the grand delusion made.

Each age churns, prophets ne’er; seldom illparonomasians know its meaning.
Slick slogans, dogma drenched; future promises falsely kept; save the peddlers, the future kings.

The constant currency falsely inflated is the king’s charisma.
Forging faux foes and war declarations;
Scapegoat manufacturing, distracting true narratives.

Stone upon stone, iron to steel, the state’s bull, reveal.
Each civilization echoes the last.
